Emergency friendship duties... Hmmm. I hope those are more of the "help me move the couch" or something of that nature than what my former flame did. He'd tell me, "I have to help a friend keep from drinking today." Well, that's understandable... unfortunately, that friend was his ex-girlfriend (the one he's still hung up on).... and you can probably guess what they did to distract her from drinking. Nice!

On another note, it sounds like you have a great plan for Friday. I work a 4-day work-week (10 hour days) in my Clark Kent job, but that may change soon since I'm headed back for a second interview next week - in the private sector, thank goodness!!! However, I usually just run around cramming in all the activities that I can't get to during the week. LOL!

Hope you feel (*cough cough*) better soon. :P

While I enjoy sharing funny stuff on my blog, I use a lot of my writing to work things out for myself. I spend a lot of time inside my head (or standing on it, hee) in meditation. Working things out at the keyboard just gets it out of my head. There isn't much of a filter there since I am pretty incapable of writing fiction about myself.

While having others swing by and chime in from time-to-time is validating in some ways, I do know that what I believe is true, at least to me... and that is the important thing. Being able to communicate with others who are from different backgrounds and stages in their life is also very illuminating and helps me to understand people - and myself - a little better.

Namaste.

"Life is simple and complex."

Sometimes both at once!

"The trick is deciphering which one applies when."

Yeah, I know what you mean. *sigh* I spend a lot of time in yoga class figuring out how to apply that both on and off the mat.

Now that I've found you and popped you on the blogroll so I can come back again.

Cheers!
